4 Tips to refresh tired skin

As we all know, a lot of us nowadays do have a lot of things to do each day such as going to work, school, doing activities at university and so on. With all that going on in our daily lives we tend to not get enough rest or eat nutrient foods that our body (and SKIN!) needs, so I’ve decided to recommend these tips from my own experience to help improve and refresh the skin!

1.Skincare

This is a very important step that I highly recommend everyone doing it. Using serums and moisturizers will definitely keep your skin from looking dull and keep it moisturize. There are many different skincare out in the market depending on what you are looking for, if you have dry skin I would recommend using something that is deeply hydrating such as a thicker cream and as for combination to oily skin using something that is lighter in consistency but still gives enough hydration to your skin is good.

Olive is great for nourishing the skin and keep it moisturize

Even though I have oily skin I still enjoy using products that would give a lot of moisture for me, so my trick is I would use a good amount of it at night and in the morning I would just use less product so it won’t get too oily through out the day.

 

2. Mask

Masking our face is also another way to quickly boost up our skin, if your skin is feeling tired, dehydrated or looking a bit dull, sheet mask is the way to go! There are so many sheet mask that we could with so many ingredients but for me I really enjoy using green tea (gives deep moisture to the skin), cucumber (freshen up the skin), aloe (to soothe the skin), honey (nourish the skin) and olive. These are the ones that I find really helps to perk up the skin and keep the skin soft and moisturize.

3.Facial massage

Giving yourself a facial massage not only it will lift your face and reduce wrinkles but it will also helps De-Puff your skin and in improve your blood circulation which helps the skin to look more alive. Make sure to use some facial oil or serum on your skin because facial massage is not good on your bare skin

4. Drinking LOTS of water

It’s one of the things that we’ve heard so much about but it really is the most important and easiest way to do. Drinking water first thing in the morning is also a great way to hydrate yourself and perk up your skin, and also drink lots of water (and I mean a good amount of it!) before we go to bed is also good for you. I find that constantly drinking water throughout the day is a very effective way to look less dehydrated, your skin will look plump and less dull so keep drinking it! Also drinking tea such as green tea or oolong tea will help detox and cleanse your body and make your skin appear healthier!

These are all the tips that I find worked for me, it is something that I would do if I’m feeling tired or my skin is not looking at it’s best (and not lazy!). Hope you find these helpful!

Types of dark circles and how you can reduce it

As we all know, dark circles are one of the things that people have to deal with, some might be bless with none, some might have a small amount or in some cases quite severe (like I do).

What are dark circles?

Dark circles are mainly discoloration around your eyes, they can appear in different form depending on your skin types, ethnicity, genetics or lifestyles. It can look pink or red, brown, blue and purple or in some cases black.

What causes dark circles?

Dark circles are often cause by the lack of sleep, but there are also other factors such as allergies, illness, pregnancy but one of the most common causes is genetics!

 

How do you cure/reduce dark circles?

Almond oil

A completely natural ingredient that benefits skin around your eyes, almond oil helps lighten dark circles. Combine almond oil with vitamin E oil and your dark circles will be history. Just apply the product around the eyes and lightly massage it.

Cucumber

This is something that a lot people might know about, by slicing a fresh cold cucumber and leave it on the eyes for about 10 minutes can help refresh the skin and let the blood circulate better

Tomatoes

Tomato, the fruit that’s used like a vegetable, is known to naturally possess powerful bleaching properties that can lighten skin very effectively.

Lastly, SLEEP!

Getting enough sleep can really help reduce the appearance of dark circles and make you look fresher! I know that getting enough sleep might be quite tricky due to our busy life but it is really something that we can do without using much effort! But keep in mind that if getting enough sleep and you still have dark circles that means your dark circles are genetics and it is hard to get rid of and might need makeup to cover it.
